Collections such as the Police Gazette and police members' Records of Service from Victorian Police's establishment in 1853 to today, are kept at the Victoria Police Museum.
This material provides a valuable historical record on the development of policing in Victoria, and how this mirrored the social and political evolution through the early years of European settlement, continuing to Federation and contemporary times.
Over the last 20 years, the Victoria Police Museum has been working with partners such as the Victoria Police Historical Society to develop and maintain an extensive archive of paper, photographic, film and audio material.
