Victoria Police Memorial - Kings Domain Gardens
Opened in 2002, by the Chief Commissioner of Police, Christine Nixon, APM, the Victoria Police Memorial situated in Kings Domain Gardens, Melbourne, stands as a dedication and constant reminder of the service provided by those brave men and women who have been killed in the line of duty.
The memorial is a tribute to the 150 police who have had their lives brought to a tragic and abrupt end (as at December, 2006). The memorial is a fitting reminder of the sacrifice each have made to provide a safe and secure community.
