About Victoria Police

The Victoria Police Pipe Band is a traditional Scottish Bagpipe Band. The band consists of 10 pipers and six drummers and can perform various functions from marching in parades to static concert performances.

The Victoria Police Pipe Band takes part in many police, community and corporate events throughout the year. These events include everything from police graduation parades, ceremonies and funerals, to large community public events such as the Anzac Day Parade in Melbourne, Moomba Parade and the Melbourne Cup Parade of Champions. The Victoria Police Pipe Band performs at many other community functions and events such as rural shows and charity events. The Pipe Band also has an extensive schools program which is aimed at providing a musical performance as well as delivering key awareness and safety messages to young children.

The Victoria Police Pipe Band is available by application to play at organised events throughout most of the year.
