What is the Weapon Identification Web?
The Victoria Police, Licensing Services Branch, has developed this Weapon Identification System to assist owners to correctly identify their Firearms and Weapons. The identification and categorisation rules are based on the requirements of the Victorian Firearms Act 1996 Control of Weapons Act (as amended) and related regulations. The system may be of assistance to owners in other jurisdictions within Australia, however, you should check with your local authority first. The system will be updated with new templates and images, as information becomes available. The information contained in this system may be changed without notice and is subject to the general disclaimers displayed on this site.
