Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following an investigation into an alleged text message scam.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Truganina on 13 March.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene and a mobile phone seized along with identification belonging to another person.
The Truganina man has been charged with negligently dealing with proceeds of crime relating to four separate incidents between 14 and 17 October last year.
He has been bailed to appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court on 29 August.
