State Security and Terrorism

The Victorian Government is committed to working with business in Victoria to counter terrorism.
Details about some of the government programs to assist Victorian businesses manage their security risks are available on this website:
- Crowded places - The objective of this strategy is to protect the lives of people working in, using and visiting crowded places by making these places more resilient to terrorism.
- Critical infrastructure - Find out about the mechanisms in place to protect Australia's critical infrastructure, including the Trusted Information Sharing Network, which helps business and government share information on critical infrastructure vulnerabilities and ways to assess and reduce risk.
- Chemicals of security concern - The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) has endorsed the Report of the Management of Chemicals of Security Concern to strengthen security for chemicals that terrorists are most likely to access or target in Australia.
Good Security, Good Business
The Australian Government has produced a guide to help small to medium businesses with risk management planning.
The Good Security, Good Business guide provides details of how your business can minimise risks, manage and recover from an incident, including a terrorist attack. You can download a copy of the booklet from the Australian Government Trusted Information Sharing Network website.
