Police uniform hire

Hire past and present Victoria Police uniforms for film and theatrical productions.

The Film and TV office provides past and present Victoria Police uniform hire for film and theatrical productions.

Prior to hiring, the Victoria Police Film and TV office must approve your script and lines which involve police. The production must portray police in a positive light or show consequences for corrupt behaviour.

Government Regulated User Fees apply.

To apply for uniform hire, please email film.tv@police.vic.gov.au with:

a brief synopsis of your production
the script that involves police
your uniform requirements
your hire dates.

Please send your application at least seven business days before your filming dates.

Terms and conditions of uniform hire

Supply of police issue items is entirely at the discretion of the Victoria Police Film and Television Office (FTO)
Fees and conditions apply
It is an offence to possess and use Victoria Police issue equipment without authority
Use of police equipment in some circumstances may require additional permits or authority from other agencies
Equipment is issued only for the intended purpose of screen and theatrical production use
