Alliance Taskforce charge trio following stabbing and car thefts in Wyndham area

Detectives from Operation Alliance have charged three teenagers following a series of incidents across Wyndham last night.

Police will allege a group of six entered a gym on Hummingbird Boulevard in Tarneit, where they stole a set of car keys before fleeing in a white Honda Accord Euro.

It is understood the same group then reattended the same gym, this time stealing a blue BYD Sealion about 9.30pm.

At 1.15am, the six teens approached two men who were exiting a gym on Palmers Road in Truganina.

Police will allege the group demanded their phones while making verbal threats.

The group fled the scene empty handed in the stolen BYD Sealion.

A short time later, the group allegedly approached two teenage boys on the corner of Ison and Ballan roads in Manor Lakes.

One of the boys was stabbed, while the other is believed to have been struck by a vehicle.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital with critical injuries, while a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Today, three teenagers were arrested.

A 14-year-old boy from the Wyndham area has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, affray, aggravated burglary and theft of motor vehicle.

A 15-year-oldgirl from the Wyndham area has been charged with (x2) aggravated burglary and theft of motor vehicle.

A 16-year-old girl from the Wyndham area has been charged with (x3) aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.

The trio were remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

Specialist detectives from Operation Alliance continue to investigate the incidents and anticipate further arrests will occur in the coming days.

Operation Alliance is dedicated solely to pursuing, disrupting and dismantling the state’s worst youth gangs.

Over the last year, the operation has led to the arrest of over 440 youth gang members a combined 1,381 times, and more than 3,700 charges laid across Victoria.
