Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Andrew Thomas.
The 49-year-old is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant in relation to a homophobic assault that occurred on a train at Glen Waverley Railway Station on 9 February.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall and is of thin build with shoulder-length brown hair, which is usually tied back into a ponytail.
Thomas is known to frequent the Mount Waverley, Ashburton, and Richmond areas.
Investigators have released an image of Thomas in the hope that someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts.
