Arrests following Mernda death

Homicide Squad detectives have arrested four males following the death of a man at Mernda on Friday evening.

Emergency services were called to Bridge Inn Road about 5.50pm on 6 March after reports of a group of people fighting.

A 22-year-old Mernda man was located at the scene with life-threatening injuries and was treated by ambulance crews but has died at the scene.

Police arrested four people, a 16-year-old, 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds in relation to the incident and they all remain in custody.
