Attempted carjacking in Coolaroo

Police are investigating an attempted carjacking which occurred in Coolaroo this afternoon.

Officers have been two men approached a woman as she was seated in her car in a business carpark off Pascoe Vale Road about 1.20pm.

One of the men got into the front passenger seat of the car and threatened the woman with a knife.

There was a scuffle between the pair and the woman received a stab wound to her thigh.

The offenders ran to the nearby car which then drove off along Pascoe Vale Road.

The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
