Police have arrested a man following an alleged stabbing in the Melbourne CBD on Monday night.
Investigators have been told two men were involved in an altercation on Flinders Street about 11.30pm.
It is alleged that during the altercation a knife was produced and the victim was stabbed in the back before the offender left the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police searched the area and a 20-year-old man from Reservoir was arrested on a nearby tram.
He is currently assisting police with their enquires.
