Detectives from Mildura Crime Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal assault which occurred in Mildura in September.
It’s alleged a fight broke-out amongst a group of people outside a house on Brodie Close on 20 September, about 11.45pm.
Officers attended and located a 35-year-old man with stab wounds.
The Mildura man was transported to hospital where he underwent surgery, but he died on Saturday 18 October.
A 44-year-old woman sustained a minor head injury which she later sought medical treatment for.
Three men were arrested at the scene of the incident and were charged on 21 September.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with affray and intentionally cause injury in circumstances of gross violence.
He was remanded to appear at Mildura Magistrates’ Court on 17 December.
An 18-year-old man has been charged with affray and intentionally cause injury in circumstances of gross violence.
A 30-year-old man was charged with affray and common law assault.
The duo was bailed to appear at Mildura Magistrates’ Court on 17 December.
With assistance from the Homicide Squad, detectives from Mildura CIU will now review the original charges.
