Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 24-year-old man from Ormond following a fatal collision which occurred in Bentleigh last year.
It is alleged a ute struck a 16-year-old Seaford boy on Tucker Road just after 9pm on 4 July 2025.
The boy died at the scene.
The driver was spoken to on the night and has since been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death and other related offences.
He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 4 May 2026.
