A man has been charged following an alleged arson in Yarraville on 22 December.
It is alleged a home on Fogarty Avenue was damaged by a Molotov cocktail about 11pm.
Four people inside the home at the time were not injured.
It is alleged two male offenders fled the scene.
One of the men was arrested on 23 December after allegedly returning to the property and being involved in a physical altercation with three other males.
He was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries, under police guard.
The 21-year-old Bexley, NSW man, was charged on 24 December with criminal damage by fire (endanger life), reckless conduct endanger life, assault police and state false name.
He was remanded in custody until 26 December.
Other offenders are still to be located.
Investigations remain ongoing.
