Cyclist killed in Dunkeld

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a cyclist in Dunkeld last night.

A Toyota Landcruiser and cyclist collided at the intersection of Wills and Sterling streets shortly before 10.30pm.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services and passersby to revive the female cyclist, she died at the scene.

The male driver was arrested and will be interviewed by police.
