Death of man in Barjarg

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a man in Barjarg, south of Benalla, this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Lake Nillahcootie about 1.45pm following reports a man had been pulled out of the water unresponsive.

CPR was performed on the man, who is yet to be identified, but sadly he could not be revived.
