Detectives continue to investigate fatal stabbing in Clyde

A 27-year-old Clyde man remains in custody this afternoon following a fatal stabbing in Clyde on Monday around 3.25pm.

Emergency services were called at approximately 3.30pm to reports of a two-car collision at the intersection of Clyde-Five Ways and Railway Roads in Clyde.

Upon Ambulance Victoria’s arrival it was identified that a passenger in the vehicle, a 36-year-old Endeavour Hills man, had a number of stab wounds to the upper body.

He was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Police believe two men were previously involved in an altercation at a property on Carrera Crescent where the 36-year-old man was stabbed.

Two other men, a 33-year-old from Narre Warren and a 36-year-old from Hampton Park then left the scene in a vehicle with the injured Endeavour Hills man and were involved in the collision.

Police subsequently arrested a 27-year-old Clyde man on Carrera Crescent around 4.50pm.

He remains in custody being interviewed by detectives from the Homicide Squad.

The 28-year-old female driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital for assessment.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
