Detectives investigate assault at Dandenong bus stop

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an assault and attempted robbery which occurred in Dandenong earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a 15-year-old girl was at a bus stop on McCrae Street about 5pm on 4 April.

A group of three girls approached the bus stop and one girl demanded the victim hand over her shoes.

The victim refused and it is alleged the offender assaulted the victim and attempted to steal her shoes.

The fight was broken up by bystanders and the trio left the area.

Investigators have been told the offenders are perceived to be Caucasian, 16-17-years old and were wearing black hooded tops. One of the girls was also wearing black track pants.
