Detectives investigate death of man in Fitzroy

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Fitzroy on Monday night.

Emergency services responded to reports of a man found with injuries, consistent with a stabbing, at an address on Napier Street about 9.45pm.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was transported to hospital where he later died.

A crime scene has been established at the Napier Street address.

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident and Homicide Squad detectives are attending.
