Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify three offenders and a puppy following a burglary in Melbourne during March.

CCTV images reveal one of the offenders nursed a white French bulldog during the entire burglary.

The group jemmied open a door, forcing entry to an apartment complex barking lot, on Queens Road in the early hours of Saturday 21 March.

The very bad boys attempted to use a tool to force the ignition of a motorcycle but were unsuccessful.

The group fled the scene on foot (and paw) shortly after.

Detectives have released images of three men (and a dog) whom they believe can assist the investigation.

Anyone who can help identify the men or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
