Double fatality in Clayton South

Two people have been killed following a collision in Clayton South this morning.

Two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection of Westall Road and Rosebank Avenue shortly before 6am.

A 46-year-old Springvale South man and a 52-year-old Scoresby woman, who were the drivers and the sole occupants of each vehicle, were declared deceased at the scene.

The intersection is expected to be closed for some time while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
