Driver dies following Echuca collision

Police are investigating a fatal collision in Echuca this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports a truck collided with a car at the intersection of the Northern Highway and Spiers Road about 8.50am.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, who is yet-to-be formally identified, died at the scene.

The driver of the truck stopped at the scene.

It is believed another truck was involved but it left prior to police arrival.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
