Two teens have been charged after officers foiled an alleged attempted carjacking in Ringwood late last night.
It is alleged that two males threatened to carjack two vehicles on Seymour Street about 11.15pm.
Ringwood officers, receiving live updates from a witness, caught sight of the second alleged carjacking playing out.
Police moved in quickly to arrest the alleged offenders.
One male allegedly attempted to flee the scene.
Due to the alleged offender having access to further victims and their vehicles, a taser was deployed.
Both males were arrested and there were no injuries.
A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, both from the Maroondah area, were interviewed by investigators.
Both boys were charged with attempted carjacking and will appear before a children’s court today.
