Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a ute in Bentleigh last night.
It is understood the vehicle collided with the pedestrian on Tucker Road just after 9pm on 4 July.
Sadly, the pedestrian, a 16-year-old Seaford boy, died at the scene.
It is believed the ute came to a stop shortly after on Huntington Road.
The driver of the utility, a 23-year-old Ormond man, was interviewed by police.
He was released pending further enquiries.
