Fatal collision in Clear Lake

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Clear Lake this afternoon.

It is understood a Nissan Dualis SUV collided with a Ford Ranger on Jallumba-Douglas Road about 3.10pm.

The female passenger of the Nissan, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The male passenger of the Nissan was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The female driver of the Nissan was taken to hospital by road with non-life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the Ford Ranger sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing.
