Fatal collision in Congupna

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Congupna this morning.

Emergency services responded to reports of a head-on collision between two vehicles on Jubilee Road about 9am.

The driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are en route to the scene.
