Fatal collision in Culgoa

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Culgoa this evening.

Emergency services were called to reports a car and truck had collided on the Calder Highway, near Baths Road, about 6.20pm.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and an investigation is ongoing.
