Fatal collision in Mount Waverley

A man has died in hospital following a collision in Mount Waverley last week.

Emergency services were called to reports a car had struck a pedestrian on Stephensons Road about 5.20pm on Tuesday, 15 July.

At the time of the collision, the 64-year-old pedestrian from Mount Waverley was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 72-year-old Canterbury man, stopped at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
