Fatal collision in Rosebud

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Rosebud this evening.

It is alleged a vehicle went onto the wrong side of Jetty Road and collided with a second vehicle about 5.20pm.

The driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle, a yet-to-be-identified man, died at the scene.

The other driver and sole occupant, a 62-year-old Rosebud man, was not injured and he was arrested at the scene.

He was interviewed and released pending further enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
