Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in South Morang this evening.
Investigators have been told there was a collision between an electric motorbike and two cars near Plenty Road and Findon Road about 5.30pm on 22 April.
A pillion passenger on the electric motorbike, a 15-year-old boy from South Morang, suffered life-threatening injuries and was treated by ambulance crews at the scene but could not be saved.
The rider of the motorbike, a 17-year-old boy from South Morang, has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The drivers of the cars stopped at the scene and have spoken to police.
