Man charged following fatal collision in Wyndham Vale

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Wyndham Vale earlier this year.

It is alleged a Mitsubishi SUV was travelling along Armstrong Road when it collided with a cyclist at the intersection of Black Forest Road about 11.50pm on 24 January.

The rider, a 43-year-old Wyndham Vale man, was located deceased at the scene.

The driver stopped at the scene and was interviewed by police.

The 20-year-old Wyndham Vale man has been charged with culpable driving.

He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 16 September.
