Fatal crash in Chandlers Creek

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Chandlers Creek this afternoon.

It is understood a livestock truck traveling south on Monaro Highway veered off the road and rolled about 12.30pm.

The yet-to-be formally identified driver and sole occupant of the truck died at the scene.

Agriculture Victoria were called to assist with the numerous injured and deceased cattle.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

Monaro Highway is closed at Chandlers Creek is expected to be close for some time.
