Fatal crash in Pirron Yallock

Police are investigating a fatal crash in Pirron Yallock this evening.

Emergency services were called after a car lost control on Swan Marsh Road before going over a bridge and down an embankment nearby about 9.20pm.

The yet-to-be formally identified driver died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

Swan Marsh Road remains closed between Princes Highway and Station Road.

Detours are in place.
