Fatal crash in Pootilla

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Pootilla this afternoon.

It is understood two vehicles collided at the intersection of Springbank Road and Bungaree-Creswick Road about 4pm.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 43-year-old Red Lion man, died at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing.

Both roads remain closed, and diversions are in place.
