Fatal crash in Violet Town

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Violet Town this morning.

Emergency services were called to Murchison-Violet Town Road following reports a car had crashed into a tree just after 5.15am.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who is yet-to-be formally identified, died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and an investigation is ongoing.
