Fatal fire in Tallygaroopna

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal fire in Tallygaroopna this morning.

Emergency services responded after a passing motorist spotted the fire on a property on Goulburn Valley Highway about 10.25am.

A bus, which is believed to have been used as a permanent home, was fully engulfed in flames.

Sadly, the body of a man was located after the fire was extinguished.

At this stage, the man has not been formally identified.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and a crime scene is in place.

Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad will attend the scene.
