Fatal house fire in Fawkner

Police are investigating a house fire in Fawkner that has left one person deceased.

Emergency services responded to reports of the fire on Dorothy Street just after 2pm.

The house was fully engulfed upon arrival.

One adult occupant is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

CPR was commenced on a 3-year-old child but sadly the child has died at the scene.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined at this stage.
