East Gippsland Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men and two women as part of an investigation into drug trafficking across the East Gippsland region.
Police executed several search warrants at properties in Lakes Entrance, Orbost, Gelantipy and Lucknow.
During searches of the properties, officers seized drugs, a weapon and items including:
commercial quantities of methylamphetamine and 1.4 Butanediol (more than 4.5 litres)
- quantities of cocaine and cannabis
- prescription medications
- an imitation handgun
- luxury items including designer handbags, estimated at more than $25,000 worth
- two allegedly stolen vehicles
- illegal fireworks
- more than $24,000 cash
A 25-year-old man and 47-year-old man, both from Lakes Entrance, have been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs.
A 29-year-old Lakes Entrance woman was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs and weapons offences.
A 38-year-old Gelantipy woman was charged with possess drug of dependence.
They were each remanded to appear at Bairnsdale Magistrates’ Court on 12 August.
