Fourth male charged following Mildura aggravated home invasion

Detectives from the Gang Crime Squad have today charged a fourth male as part of an investigation into an aggravated home invasion in Mildura last year.

An 18-year-old Springvale man was arrested this morning at his home address.

He has since been interviewed by Gang Crime Squad detectives and charged with:

• Possess traffickable quantity of firearms
• Possess fraudulent number plates
• Handle stolen goods
• Possess drug of dependence (cocaine/ICE)
• Possess prohibited weapon
• Possess firearm accessory without a licence (silencer)
• Possess ammunition without a licence, and
• Going equipped to steal

The man will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

Two men already in custody for unrelated offending, a 19-year-old from Noble Park and an 18-year-old from Dandenong North, were each charged with one count of aggravated home invasion in 19 February.

The duo will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 27 February.

A 17-year-old boy from the Springvale area was charged with possess handgun, possess cartridge ammunition, traffick ecstasy, possess ecstasy, possess proceeds of crime, handle stolen goods, two counts of possess prohibited weapon and fail to provide mobile phone pin.

The boy was further charged on 17 February with aggravated home invasion.

He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 20-year-old Harkness man was also previously charged with two counts of possess controlled weapon without an excuse and possess cocaine.

He was bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on 7 May.

The charges follow an investigation into an incident at a residential address in Mildura on 29 October, 2025.

Police will allege a number of offenders wearing hoodies and masks and carrying machetes and a baseball bat smashed a window and gained access to a residence just before 12.30am.

Officers were told one resident confronted the males and was then assaulted.

Nothing was stolen during the incident.

A 70-year-old Mildura woman sustained minor injuries.

Police believe the incident was targeted.
