Further two charged following Anzac Day service disturbance

Police have charged a further two people following an alleged incident at the Shrine of Remembrance on ANZAC Day this year.

A small group of people disrupted the dawn service at the Shrine on 25 April.

A 26-year-old Kensington man and a 22-year-old Deer Park man were both charged on summons with:

• behave in an offensive manner whilst in a public place namely the Shrine of Remembrance Reserve (Summary Offences Act)
• offend against decency by conduct and behaviour whilst in the Shrine of Remembrance Reserve (Shrine of Remembrance Act)
• take part in a disturbance whilst in the Shrine of Remembrance Reserve (Shrine of Remembrance Act)

A 23-year-old Mooroolbark man was charged with the same offences earlier this month.

The three men will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 17 November.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
