Girl dies after Eureka collision

A 12-year-old pedestrian struck by a vehicle earlier this month in Eureka has died.

Emergency services were called to reports a car had struck a pedestrian on Eureka Street just before 8.30am on 13 March.

The girl was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she passed-away on 23 March.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old female, was not injured and stopped at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
