Homicide Squad investigate Wollert death

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Wollert this morning.

Police were called to the Saltlake Boulevard scene following reports a woman had been found injured and unresponsive in a home about 6.30am.

The elderly woman died at the scene.

An elderly man, known to the woman, has been arrested.

Investigators are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

A crime scene has been established and officers from the Major Crime Scene Unit will attend to process the scene.
