Investigation continues into Oakleigh South factory fire

Monash Criminal Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in Oakleigh South this morning.

It is believed a factory on Valley Street was set alight about 3am.

There was no one inside at the time and minor damage was caused to the property.

A 53-year-old man was arrested a short time later at Clayton Railway Station and was cleared of any involvement.

The investigation is ongoing.
