Investigations continue following Merrigum stabbing

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate a stabbing at a caravan park in Merrigum.

Officers responded to reports of a brawl involving knives at the park on Waverley Avenue about 3.45am on Saturday, 2 May.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured man inside one of the cabins.

The 30-year-old Merrigum man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two men, a 28-year-old from Cootamundra in NSW and a 51-year-old from Merrigum, were arrested nearby.

Both men were interviewed and have since been released pending further enquiries.
