A leading senior constable from eastern region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 57-year-old man has been charged with possess traffickable quantity of firearms, possess unregistered firearm (x4) and firearms not stored in correct manner.
The incident occurred in November 2025 while the police officer was off duty.
He was charged on summons to appear before a magistrates’ court at a later date.
