Man arrested as part of Cybercrime Squad investigation - Taylors Lakes

Detectives from the Cybercrime squad have today arrested a man as part of their investigation into a report of a data breach involving a former CFMEU member and subsequent sharing of personal information and photographs.

A 39-year-old Taylor Lakes man was arrested this morning and interviewed by police.

He has subsequently been released pending further enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police also seized a number of items from his address including a mobile phone, two conducted energy devices and knuckledusters.

Specialist detectives from the Cybercrime Squad are investigating the matter with assistance from Taskforce Hawk detectives.

The matter was reported to police on 25 June and the information being distributed is alleged to include intimate images.

Investigators will thoroughly assess any information provided to them on the incident and urge anyone with information on this matter to come forward.
