Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a series of commercial burglaries in the Cardinia, Casey and Dandenong areas between 13 April and 1 June.
It’s alleged the offender used an implement to smash holes in the glass front entry of multiple commercial premises before gaining access.
Premises targeted include cafes, restaurants, licensed premises, medical clinics, veterinary clinics and other retail stores.
It’s alleged he attended commercial premises on all modes of transport including vehicles, scooters, bikes and on foot.
A search warrant was executed at an address on Fishburn Place in Cranbourne West where a number of items were seized including allegedly stolen credit cards & identifications, stolen number plates, a significant quantity of ammunition and an imitation firearm.
Police arrested a 41-year-old Cranbourne West man.
He has been charged with 39 counts of burglary, six counts of handle stolen goods, prohibited person possess imitation firearm, possess ammunition, proceeds of crime, possess drug of dependence and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
He was remanded to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.
