Man arrested - stolen goods and cash seized in Moe

Police from Moe have arrested a man after he was found with alleged stolen goods and cash in Moe this morning.

The man first came to police attention following reports a man was behaving suspiciously in a park on the corner of Windsor Avenue and Margaret Street about 7.35am.

The man, who appeared agitated, and substance affected, was seen dumping items in a water drain.

When police arrived, they found the 44-year-old with suspected stolen property and a significant quantity of cash.

Officers seized the property, which included collectable coins and cash believed to be more than $80,000.

The Seaford man was arrested and will be interviewed.

The investigation is ongoing.
