Central Victoria Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives have charged a man after performing a string of lewd acts in the Epsom area.
It is alleged the man performed a lewd act in the vicinity of a recreation reserve on Midland Highway in Huntly on Monday 11 May and Monday 18 May between 5pm and 8pm.
It’s believed there were children present at the reserve for soccer training when the incidents occurred.
Detectives allege the man was also seen performing the same act outside a supermarket on Howard Street in Epsom on Thursday 30 July about 6.30pm.
The 49-year-old Epsom man was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
A search warrant was executed at the man’s property and detectives seized electronic devices.
He has since been charged with sexual activity directed at another (x3) and sexual exposure (x3).
He was bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on 10 September.
